These Terms of Use and Privacy Policy apply to this Website, operated by APNU ( A PARTNERSHIP FOR NATIONAL UNITY), which is an alliance of political parties in Guyana, to contest the 2011 general election for  President, Prime Minister and Members of Parliament. Herein referred to as  (“Campaign”). This Website is offered for personal use of our visitors (the “Users” or “you”). Use of this Website is conditioned on the User’s acceptance of all of these Terms of Use, including the Privacy Policy and disclaimers set forth below. Use of this Website constitutes the User’s agreement to all those terms and conditions. If you cannot agree with all these terms, please exit this Website.

All materials on this Website are protected by copyrights, trademarks and/or other intellectual property rights. These materials are owned by Campaign or are used with permission of their owners or as otherwise authorized by law. Such materials include, but are not limited to, the photographs, images, illustrations, text, video clips, audio clips, designs, logos, trademarks, trade dress and other materials contained in this website. The trademarks and slogans include, but are not limited to, “APNU colored letters logo, the “Two Hands” logo, the name: A PARTHERSHIP FOR NATIONAL UNITY and theme: MORE JOBS, LESS CRIME ”. Use or review of this Website does not give any User a license or right under any patent, copyright, trademark or other intellectual property or personal right of Campaign or any third party. Privacy Policy & Donations

Collection and Use of Personally Identifiable Information
Campaign only collects personally identifiable information that is voluntarily submitted to Campaign through this website or otherwise. Personally identifiable information (PII) refers to data that identifies you. We obtain PII from you when you register on this Website, submit comments or material to Campaign via this Website, ask for information, subscribe to receive emails or other notices or feeds, make a donation to Campaign, or otherwise submit PII to us.

Specifically, we may collect the following personal information: your name, email address, telephone numbers, and other demographic information (like postal/zip code, age and address,). If you make a donation through our website, your account information relating to your method of payment will be collected by Campaign or Campaign’s authorized payment processor. Please note: contributions are non-refundable. If you choose to contribute through this Website, you will receive an email confirmation of your contribution.  Also, contributions to Campaign are not tax deductible in any jurisdiction or in country of citizenship of donor.  

We use the PII information to process your requests and/or donation and to keep you apprised of developments of interest to Campaign and supporters. We will send you emails and other communications to keep you up to date about Campaign and election news. By registering with this website and submitting PII to Campaign, you agree that Campaign may share your name, email address, physical address and other demographic or response information with other persons or entities that share common goals or beliefs with Campaign. You may receive communications from these other persons or entities. By registering with Campaign or submitting materials to us, you consent to our sharing of your PII as described in this policy.

About Brigadier David Granger

David A. Granger (born 15 July 1945 in Georgetown, Guyana) is a former Commander of the Guyana Defence Force. He founded the Guyana Review newsmagazine in 1992, and remains its Managing Editor. He has researched and published on military, historical and media themes; and is also the author of Guyana's state media: the quest for control, and A Preliminary Study of Women Soldiers in the Anglophone Caribbean.

Joined the Guyana Defense Force in 1965. Trained in Britain, then Brazil, then Nigeria. Eventually became commander of the Guyana Defense Force in 1979. Promoted to rank of brigadier. Appointed National Security Advisor to the President in 1990.[1] Retired from the military service in 1992.[2] In 2011, he was selected as the presidential candidate for APNU (A Partnership for National Unity) -a coalition of Guyana’s opposition political parties to head ticket in the general elections. 

First degree at the University of Guyana in History and Master’s degree in political science. International relations at the University of the West Indies and was a Hubert Humphrey Fellow at the University of Maryland and also attended what is now called the Caribbean Defense and Security Course at the Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies in Washington, DC.
